Colwyn Bay Streetscape Improvements
IOTA’s granite planters
feature in a scheme to improve the lay-out and streetscapes around Colwyn Bay town centre.
From IOTA’s selection of high-performance planter materials,
granite was chosen for its strength, solidity and value, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic public spaces. IOTA’s Granite planters are increasingly specified within streetscape schemes, where they offer a stylish, and often cheaper, alternative to more utilitarian planters in concrete, composite or metal.
The planters selected for the Colwyn Bay scheme
were 50 in number of
Granite Tall Tapered Planters XL >> . 850mm tall, these highly versatile planters are an ideal height to signpost and frame an entrance without obstructing the view. The planters are used throughout the central shopping district of Colwyn Bay town centre, outside the Bayview Shopping Centre, and along Sea View Road and Station Road.
Colwyn Bay is one of the key towns
in the North Wales Coastal Strategic Regeneration Area, and the works form part of a comprehensive regeneration plan for the town part-funded by a Physical Regeneration Fund grant from the Welsh Assembly. IOTA’s involvement in Colwyn Bay follows a similar project for the neighbouring seaside town of
Rhyl >> , which also forms part of the same regeneration area.
