Granville New Homes
The DELTA 60 is the largest capacity trough planter
within IOTA’s Boulevard range, and is ideally suited to greening large areas within weight-restricted environments. This usage is shown to great effect at the Granville New Homes project in South Kilburn, London, where the planters line communal walkways between apartment blocks. All three sizes of the
DELTA 60 Trough >> are used in the project, including the largest 140cm size.
In addition to its large size and exceptional strength-to-weight ratio,
the DELTA 60 Trough design incorporates an internal water reservoir. This can significantly reduce the plant maintenance overhead, often an important consideration in public space usage.
The planters were chosen by Higgins Construction PLC,
which is the main contractor for the project, and a leading name in community regeneration and affordable housing for London and the South East. The £18m Granville New Homes project extends over a three-acre site, including 110 new apartments within four blocks, alongside the construction of a new youth facility and a communal park. The project is intended to kick-start a comprehensive £1bn South Kilburn regeneration programme for the London Borough of Brent.
