Bahrain City Centre Mall
Project pictures to followIOTA’s planters were specified
by the international architecture, planning and design firm RTKL for the new Bahrain City Centre Mall. Opened in September 2008, the mall is a landmark retail and leisure complex located in the city of Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Alongside 207,000m² of retail space, the development includes two luxury hotels, a 20 screen cinema, and a wide range of other leisure and entertainment facilities.
A total of 55 extra-large bespoke granite planters
were specified, manufactured in a mirror-polished, jet black granite stone. This custom stone and finish was previously originated by IOTA for a project for Four Seasons Resorts, and was utilised again in the Bahrain City Centre Mall for its extremely refined and sophisticated look.
To minimise costs,
the planters were direct-shipped to site in Bahrain from IOTA’s factories in Asia. The contract was quoted on an all-inclusive Delivery Duty Paid [DDP] basis, and all shipping, importation and local delivery arrangements were handled by IOTA. This is a service which IOTA is routinely able to offer on all larger projects, on a worldwide basis.
