Custom Granite Planters at the Burns Monument Centre, Kilmarnock
Custom planters from IOTA
were specified for the newly renovated Burns Monument Centre in Kay Park, Kilmarnock. With a height of 1000mm and width of 340mm, the planters are tall and slender and ideal as interiors statement planters. The planters’ principal colouration
is IOTA’s standard grey granite, but this is lifted by an inlaid band of beige coloured oyster granite. The same planter design is available made to order with alternative banding – such as the blue oyster stone shown in the Image Gallery. The Burns Monument Centre
has reopened after an extensive restoration programme, having been destroyed by fire in November 2004. The renovation works were funded by East Ayrshire Council, and were carried out by Hunter and Clark, one of the foremost buildings, public works and masonry contractors in Scotland. The centre will host weddings, conferences and events, and the interior has been completely remodeled by the leading Glasgow-based design agency 3D8 Ltd.The documents below show how IOTA's planters were incorporated into the interior design scheme, and some extracts are also included in the Image Gallery.
