Bespoke Galvanised Steel Planters
Galvanised steel planters are tough and resilient,
with a distinctive urban look. Galvanised steel is also commonly specified where budgets are constrained, as it is a lower cost option than stainless steel or powder coated steel.Two galvanised options are available:
Pre-galvanised. Here the planters are assembled from pre-galvanised, or ‘mill galvanised’ sheet steel, and finished with a protective lacquer coating. The corners and seams are sealed watertight internally, but are not faired externally. The surface look is a uniform matte grey.
Hot dipped galvanised. Here the planters are made from pre-galvanised sheet steel, and then faired externally to produce smooth corners and edges. The completed planters are immersed in a molten zinc bath, giving significantly enhanced corrosion protection. The look is bright and metallic, with a slight shimmer from variations in the surface shading.
